QUILT BLOCK #14 and FLAG DAY!

Do you know what today is? It's not a holiday, but it is an important day in U.S. history.

It's National Flag Day. On this day back in 1777, the U.S. flag was adopted by the Second Continental Congress. Flag Day was declared in 1916 by President Woodrow Wilson.

Today's block isn't of the traditional red, white, and blue colors I would have liked to use on Flag Day, but it is close. I don't have its name but I like the way the paisley fabric has been used with the plaid and the marbelized background. What fun it is to pull scraps together into something as beautiful as a quilt block.

Enjoy FLAG DAY! Isn't it great to be an American?
